First of all: sorry if this question has already been answered somewhere but I simply don't have to read 30-something pages of postings :)

Is there already a date when the final version of 1.5.1 will be released?
The RC1 works fine on my localhost but I'll have to do a safe-mode-install/upgrade when installing it on my school's homepage and I don't want to bother the users with any bugs just because I couldn't wait for the official release :)

Got the followng errors while trying to upgrade:

BLOB column 'identity' can't be used in key specification with the used table type
Error: MySQL said:

Incorrect sub part key. The used key part isn't a string or the used length is longer than the key part

what type should 'identity' be? and any idea what the second error is referring to?

Thanks,
Jim

A safe mode install version would be nice for 1.5.1rc :-) Anyhow, I'm installing a fresh 1.5.0 and using upgrade, will see how it goes.

(I'm finally back from the dead, somewhat, but my class-load this term is perhaps even worse than last term :()

The reason might be your PHP-Version 4.0.6. The newer board versions require PHP 4.1.

It already has an upgrade from 1.4.x to 1.5.1 - that's uprade.php - it works for 14.x and 1.5.0.

Yes, you upload the files in the zip.  Think of the upgrade package as a safe mode install.

There is the full installer which does what you are describing but only if safe mode is turned off in PHP.  As for an upgrade that writes all the files itself, won't happen.  It is not that big of a hassle to upload them your self.  You also then know what is going on incase something doesn't work.
