How do I login as the admin and where do I get the default admin logins?

I see nothing in the mysql db for admin logins.  I am missing something?

When you install your board it has you set up an admin account.  You should post this in a help board though.  You will get more help that way.  :P

I have one and if this is the wrong spot sorry. I keep trying to admin the board and two features give me errors when I try and do it. The first is in the Forum Preferences and Settings and I get the error "2: Wrong parameter count for fopen()
(/users/ionichost.com/zivux/yabbse/Sources/Admin.php ln 1442)" and it's almost the same the second is in Edit Your Forum Template and the error is "2: fopen("./template.php","w") - Permission denied
(/users/ionichost.com/zivux/yabbse/Sources/Admin.php ln 811)" I have been trying to figure out the problem but have not been able to please help. thanks.

You control if users can make new posts by making the board to an "announcement" board. If "announcement" board only admins and global mods can open new thread, others can reply only.

maybe try the 'readme'

the 1.5.1/2 readme...

"Getting Started

Is your host/server running up-to-date versions of PHP and MySQL?

Download http://www.yabbse.org/manual/phpinfo.zip, unzip the package and upload the file phpinfo.php to your host. Open your browser and in your address bar type: eg. 'http://www.mysite.com/phpinfo.php' Your hosts PHP version is right at the top of the page, and mySQL version (if installed) is half way down."

Where the Heck is the Manual for this thingymawhatsit?  Nevermind, I'll use phpMySQ or one of those "hidden" commands on that RH Linux box.  Larry

Yep; it's a "404". Is it available elsewhere on this site?

TODO List for Manual:
Getting Started
First Time Installation Walkthough
Upgrading Installation Walkthough, both previous YaBB SE and YaBB 1 Gold
Advanced Settings List (what they do and how to set them)
How to use Package Manager
How to use Admin Section
YaBB SE License (GPL)
A compiled list of FAQs from this board with Q & A format
That is all that is needed so far.
Nooooooo. This website is like a Factory office. I came in and looked for the Product tab, like in a *Store*. (Not there.) So I clicked on the lovely cube-box image to see the Features list of YABBse. (No go.) I saw the comment "Trust me, and don't compare" in another thread. (Sorry, that doesn't sell.) So I read the FAQs (No overview there.) Then I looked for the manual to read the Overview chapter. (No manual, and the plan for it as quoted includes no overview/features even.) I code other things, so I will have a little patience yet, especially since Douglas directed me to this product. (I'll not run off clutching my wallet and shopping list just yet.) Or maybe I got it all wrong? (Is this is just another generic thread-manager?) Anyone got the features pamphlet?
