Pls. be free to try to post anything, anywhere on my forum w/picture file and see what you think.

I'd already tried, but it looks like your settings are stopping me:

Allow guests to attach = Yes

QuoteAllow only use of.... = Administrator, Global Moderator

You'll need to alter that Admin/Global Mod thing or the guest permissions won't mean anything...

Pls. be more specific. Should the field be blank,

Are you telling me that no one are allowed to post even written messages at the forum right now?

Frontpage of my forum, click;
"Nyeste meldinger" (latest posts) (at bottom of forum)
(Bildegalleri) Test av Ståle Elgåen

Blank, if you want anyone to be able to post attachments.

No... just that only Admins and Global Mods can currently attach files! ;)

What does '[vedlegg slettet av admin]' mean? Page loaded fine for me, but have you removed the attachment, because there's no 'paperclip' and caption?

Yes it means it got deleted, cos everbody got hung up on that page.

I have left the field blank now, plus guest are allowed to attach files. Would you be able to visit the page, and post a test-message w/picture(anywhere on the forum),
even tough I have norwegian language pack....?  :P

Choose f.ex: Generelle innlegg - nytt emne (new subject) and try to add a file. From your local machine, or a picture on the web.

Done, but I'm not surprised you deleted your image because I'm still waiting to see my post after typing this!

Have you altered anything in the forum, or is it a standard install?

Look in "Installed Mod's and Settings"

There is two options that say 'Max width of posted pictures (0 = disable)" and "Max height of posted pictures (0 = disable)"

Please check to make sure they both say 0.  Setting them to any other value can really slow down your forum.

Yupp, they are both set at zero.

Mr. Duggan, would it be possible to mail you my admin password, so that you get admin rights on the forum, and can check that everything is correct?

And if everything is correct, then I could hand you the ftp password to the webserver, so you can check if the folders are set up correctly.

I know this is a lot to ask  :-[ , but I honestly don't know where else to turn to.

Yes, but don't mail me *your* admin password. Please register a new user, give that admin rights and then mail me the password for that. Please also include any information on paths etc. that you were given by your host.

Just a note to say that this problem was finally solved yesterday after I checked through all the board *and* FTP settings before making a minor mod to the code as advised by [Unknown]! :)
