VB style UBBC.js for 1.5

what I mean is the ppl above don't like the click on the tag and you get a popup thing. I love that, as then you don't have to go back and edit the stuff between you just type it in a box and hit OK  .

why they are an absolute pain, especially when trying to do a quote, dont you find it easier to type what you want to type, highlight it and then click the button, like you would do in your word processor..

hmm... the many functions in ubbc.js version 1.4x and below is change with one function in v1.5x: replaceText()
changing this 1 function to work for multiple ubbc buttons will be hard, example: the url tag might take 2 inputs (url, site name) and the bold tag takes only 1
i think, it will be easier if you just use your 1.4.x vb-style ubbc.js version and edit Post.php to use 1.4.x code for the yabbc buttons

Is this an easy thing to do?

I had the VB style buttons on our old YABB and after teh upgrade they no longer work. Can anyone get a mod or code change to get something like this working on 1.5x?

I just went looking and I have my old ubbc.js file with the code but I am not quite knowledgeable enough to edit the post.php file to match up withi it.

This is what I would imaging would cause the trouble with the old js file... "javascript:surroundText" am I anywhere close?
