Done, works fine, thanx a lot!  ;)

I found a Backup of all the files I modified for calendar and smileys on my HD, completely unmodified. So it was very easy, to re-install them both.

And it looks totally bugfree! ;D Great!

Duhhh I need to keep up on these updates :)

I wanted to ask a question about 1.2b, guess I will anyway :)

When the smilies exceed the width of the page they don't break for PC users but do for mac users

example can be seen at my test forum on the third board (only message I think :))

I have a space before and after each smiley

BTW members on the test board have the same pass, started with test then just changed the 1st letter  hest is a global mod

when i use VB style smilies.. the extra smilie window pops up... I have a dark blue background.. and it uses Black for the font... so not very readable.

 Where is this colour set??

I have installed 1.3 and the problem is still there, it would appear that PCs can not recognise the spaces on each side of the smileys and see the code as a continuous line and so forces a wide browser window.

Wistman I don't quite understand.. If you don't add a space after the smiley does it break for you? Why add one at the end and the front anyway?
Erm, color[windowbg2] is the background colour, it reads your template.php file for your colours. Edit that..

'Mario I'll transfer it very soon. Just need to finish Diff Category Icons.  ;)

It's handier to have a space before and after, most posters don't bother with spaces when they click on a smiley, and I've actually copied the idea from ultimate bb.

No it makes no difference whether there is one space at either end or one on both ends.

The other thing I found is that putting a space in the code in the add smileys box, athough adds the space to the "added smileys" and the code in the post text area, the space is not visable in the posted message.

BTW my other problem is that I use a mac, and it works ok for macs, it's my PC users that do the complaining as they are the only guys to see the problem, I have suggested that they change  to a decent Mac system, but their replies have been unprintable ;D

Well I was trying it out and it seemed to work for me. Find in either Smilies.php or Post.php a line lcontaining:
"addtxt"
It should equal "smilies"
Put a space before that. Now try!  ;)

Hey,

I know you said you dont support this mod with other mods installed, but im going to ask this anyways in hopes you can solve this problem.

Here is some info on my board first off:
Mute MOD is installed
Quick Admin MOD is installed

Now my problem begins BEFORE my install of Quick Admin MOD so im almost 100% sure that isnt the problem, but i am about 80% sure that its the mute user MOD that is the problem.

Now, ive modified my post.php to the point i can get the smilies MOD to work, but if i enable the Vbstyle smilies option it shows no smilies at all on the post.php page. If i do not enable the vbstyle smilies option then the smilies show up as it would on a normal board, except that it add all the smilies in the post.php page. Not a problem.

Unless, you add about 50 smilies on the board, then it becomes a serious problem. you cant have 50 smilies on a page at once and be considered a decent board admin or webmaster. It just doesnt work right, things start to stutter and you have to begin replacing smilies.

When i do the full modification of the post.php file without my modifications i get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: printpostbox() in /home/unitedg/public_html/forum/Sources/Post.php on line 185
Then i put my modified post.php file back up and disable the vbstyle smilies and everything works fine except i cant use vbstyle smilies at all.

I want to use this file to its full extent, i dont want to limit the smilies as well. Can you help me out at all?
If you need more info i will hand it to you. If you need access to my board to do it i will give it. Thanks in advance. :)

all okay then? 1.5 is coming along slowly unfortunitly, I'm very busy with school atm, I really don't have the time to make big progress, and just trying to change from perl to php is hard as it is. It's a little confusing how its written...
