Ok - here's a quick post about what to expect in the near future:

Joseph: Working on as many bug fixes as possible - then, I hope to finish up Christian's new IM.  I'm trying to push forward the maintenance package (bug fixes, some tweaked features and the new IM) then, on the 11th, I'm off to China till the end of February, so you won't hear much from me.

Jeff: Working on Bugs and the maintenance package - is also taking care of the Template competition.  He is the man to talk to while I'm away - don't send me any messages.  Acutally, he's the man to talk to when I get back too.  Message him - let me code in peace

Matt S: the new Package Manager to go out with the maintenance release.

Tim C: HTML corrections

the rest: supporting all you schmucks who keep posting bugs  ::)

I do not mean to bug...

Just asking for an estimated time of completion for the Maintenance service pack on the board.

I am not going to work on any mods or ideas like that until JOJO Fung releases the pack.

I agree that it would be pointless to make a mod that the great JO JO FUNG And Jeffery Lewis and Zef Hemel are working on!!!

Long live the King...thats me

But long live the programmers thats you!

This is too Jo Jo Fungy, Matt Steighmena, Jeefffy Lewcifer, and whoever else is on the Yabb Se dominating team.

Look I am going to be honest, the current YABB SE I downloaded is working perfectly fine with the apostrophe fix and the username fix and various other fixes. And I am not doing any changes like mods or anything until the release. However there is a need for me to get the board public now.

If I make this board public now to my site visitors and then people post and everything and then download the maintenence release will I lose any information such as new members and or posts or are those safe within the MYSQL database?   I am not sure.

What Im trying to say is, that when the maintenance comes out will I have to do everything all over or just replace the certain sources/mods and add the new ones???

Just replace the mods, may also be a field or two to add as well...  But you won't lose anything...

Is the release date still around the 11th?  And will there be any real changes to all the files?  I'm deciding on changing the profile.php around, well really put that file on the side and create a UserSettings.php file in it's place!  Which I sorta did already ;D!

And also will there be any real big changes the mysql field names and stuff?

Thanks,
Dave
