Recent posts not showing - Bug?

Problem Description:
Hi,

recently in our forum, the "recent post" table sometimes does not show anything at all. My co-mod thinks it is because we posted too much on the invisible boards. Is that correct? And if yes, is there a fix for it? (I'm talking about the "recent post" view for those who do not have access to the hidden boards... and that should not be affected by the amount of the "hidden" recent posts... or should it?)

The number of posts in hidden boards wouldnt affect it.

Hi Ben,

that's what I thought. Does anybody have an idea what might cause the problem? To my knowledge, I haven't changed the settings for it.

Yes it would... in YaBB SE.

If you have more than about 40 posts that are recent in the hidden boards, it won't show any recent posts.

Well, I fixed it in SMF, but it's harder to fix in YaBB SE... so, no there's no workaround really.

Thanks to NJBrass, there actually is!!

He seems to have managed to set "recent posts" from 10 to whatever you wish:
