Registration Invalid Email Address

YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version: 4.3.2
MySQL Version: 4.0.x
Server Platform: Unix, Linux, or BSD
Link to Forum:

Problem Description:
I have a .info domain, let's call it domain.info.  While attempting to register a test username with the valid Email address: [email protected], I received an error message stating the Email address was invalid.  I suspect that somewhere there is a valid Email address statement, that checks for the @ and .com, .net, or .org extensions in new registrations and/or Email address changes, but I cannot find it.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to correct this invalid Email address error?

Thank you for you help.  Cheers

I would start by looking in the function Register2 in Register.php in the sources directory.

Right you are, David.  Line 198 replace [a-z]{2,3} with [a-z]{2,4}.  Works like a charm.

Thanks and cheers

You MIGHT want to make it 2,6 to handle the .museum extensions, as well.
