This is the first installment of a 'buddy list' mod for YABB SE.

This mod will allow your users to create lists of their 'buddies' for making private messages easier to use. To add someone to your list go to their profile and click the "add to buddy list" link. You can manage the buddy list from the link off your profile or by clicking on the buddy information in the info panel on board index (it tells you how many of your buddies are online)

Whenever you write a private message a list of all your buddies will appear under the "to" box. Clicking on their names will fill the "to" box with the relevant name. This can be very useful if sending a message to more than one person and especially in a board where people can change their display name (as you have to put the REAL name in the actual box)

This IS an alpha so please report any bugs back to me ASAP!! Also - my code for alphabetically ordering the members in the IM screen is very poor but they best I can manage - if anyone who knows coding can achieve the same effect with less sql calls please let me know!!

Installation instructions in mod file but basically run the db file - copy buddy.php into your sources directory and run board mod.

Sorry - I don't have time to support my old mods on YABB SE as I'm tied up in SMF development. I have already ported this to SMF so if you wish to use it I recommend waiting until SMF becomes public and install it when you upgrade.

Ok... Installed it and it appears to work just fine. I've tested adding someone to my list, sending them a private message, etc. and haven't had any problems.

I moved hosts today/yesterday and as I changed nameservers the name registrar who was using its nameserver to direct to my static server decided to delete the entry right away and hence the server was down for 24 hours.

All my mod links should be back up now!

Good one.  I especially like that it puts the info down in the Users Online section.  Having them all listed on the IM compose page is great as well.

the db file seem to work fine, bud the boardmod gives me tree errors back,
can this by caused bij the supermod i have installed ?
if yes what can i do to make him work ?

im am using yabb 1.5.4

Yea you will most likely have problems with supermod...

All I can recommend is trying to find the lines in the supermod file and adjust them around it. Sorry I can't be much more help but I have lots on my plate and I don't use supermod - I write the mods for basic installs of YABB SE - you'll have to either adapt it yourself (fairly easy) or ask someone at SuperMod if they'd consider adding it...

i installed just fine, but then on the boardindex it doesnt give a budy count on the bottom, just says 0
