I hope i don't hurt anyone with this post...but the biggest problem with yabb is that it's not very modular...You can't drop a mod in a directory and it will work...

Well i saw a php-"thing" (especially for  blogs i think) on http://www.drupal.org/ or http://www.drop.org/ They use very powerfull techniques...
For example look at their hooks thingy for programming mods here...i don't understand a word of it...but it would making mods very much easier

Maybe it would be interesting to talk with these guy's how they did that...

Just a hint...just another "try to help"...don't shoot me plz

YaBBs code-base is more than one year old... we know that most of it is.... "not so good" *g*

But we didn't want to do a total rewrite, just a port to PHP...

YaBB2 will have much cleaner code.... and if we ever release a really new version of SE, it will use much cleaner code, too....

The hook-system used by the drupal-engine is quite good.... i already talked about it with Jeff some time ago... *g*

So far this is the best news I've heard about YaBB SE yet -- Is it true that Mods can be installed/uninstalled easily from the Admin Panel!??
