I'm sure there are some PHP experts here who can tell me what stupid thing I forgot to do ..

Installed PHP 4.3.1 (running windows 2000 sp3 btw), set up my yabbse website pointing to the right directory with index.php as the only starting document, did the configure, add php extention to call c:\php\php.exe (and yes iusr has execute access to this file)

Yet even if i try to call my phpinfo.php file i get the following error

Anyone have a possible tip for me ?  And btw I know its a 404 error but its not a file permission or file not found problem.  I can rename the phpinfo.php to phpinfo.html and get the text.

Even tried setting it up as ispai filter (yes restarted iis) and same problem ..

You should map .php to "c:\php\php.exe" "%s" %s.  Make sure it's set as a script engine, and that the directory has execute permissions.

Anyone have a possible tip for me ?

You could as well use a "all in one" package which intalls PHP/MySQL etc. automatically. Try FoxServ (http://www.foxserv.net/) for example.

Don't use IIS with php .

Why not?  I always do.

It's not that difficult to set up.... it's just not the same as with apache.

I think apache is better more than IIS.
