?>

Thanks!
I am a little disappointed that the very first 'to-do' item in the 'readme.html' didn't work correctly!

Hope my installation/upgrade goes a little better  ;)

Hey, you don't need a phpinfo file to upload YaBB SE!

The phpinfo only provides useful information about the PHP set-up on your server. You need FTP and the instructions that come with the YaBB SE download to do the upload!

In any case, the phpinfo is just what's quoted as code in J_Peterson's reply (that short!), except that it's probably better to start it with the standard <?php tag.

The instructions say if you're not totally clueless.  What if I am!?!?  I made it to step 3...I can't get past it because the file doesn't seem to be uploading....but that's a server matter.  I'm just saying, when I type that url to follow the instructions from there...I get some guys site on internet auctions ???  Am I doing this wrong?

Open up Notepad and type the following line:

<? phpinfo(); ?>

Save it as "phpinfo.php" (with the quotes!) and upload it to your webserver.

Then provide a link to it. (ie. http;//www.yourdomain.com/placewhereyouputit/phpinfo.php)

Thanks,
