Removing mysql section from admin..

I have tried searching for this... no luck though.

How do i remove the mysql info from the admin section?

On Matt's YaBBPak server is a YaBBPak that removes it... It was written for 1.1... or was it 1.0... well anyway it works on 1.4 and 1.3.1 so use it to remove it.

Please note that the view of the db password in the admin section (i.e. the one in the file "Settings.php") is very harmless as long as this password is *different* from your FTP password *and* from your phpMyAdmin password. The security risk is created only if this db access password equals one of the other passwords.

Addition: it is *much* more important that you realize the security hints in this thread:

If you delete the db info from your admin menu without taking those, your board will be as unsafe as before.
