Custom Ranks

How can I make my own ranks? I mean I know how to set post counts a names, but I have images that I want to represent each thing (for example someone with 2000 posts is a jedi master and has a lightsaber) but the code sets the image to be displayed 5 times, like the stars. What do I do to get rid of this 5 time printing thing?

You'll need some code changes. Look over the Completed Mods area for some member group mods.

Godai wrote this mod for version 1.0 and I don't think it has been updated.  There actually is the customs stars mod for 1.3.1 but nothing that I know of for 1.4.

hehe, I would if I could... I would love to be half as skilled as the devs here. This whole thing is a learning process for me, ever since I got my boards I learned how to edit mySQL databases and learned some basic PHP

If you want to add more member groups look for this line in Load.php

/* create the memberinfo and memberstars entries */

following that is an if statement and several elseif's. The code is pretty straightforward and you shouldn't have any problems changing it. You will also have to change the code in Profile.php so the changes are reflected in the users profile.

I have thought about making a membergroup mod myself. It would be a lot harder tho, it would require some code changes in several other places too.
