this seems to be a common program without a common answer....

lalalala... seems like everyone's having this problem.

i've even copied my yabb folders underneath yabbse which is installed successfully. not only that but i've chmodded EVERYTHING to 777 under the yabb folder.. still nothing... what next?

here's the errors.. typical.

Well it looks like you've specfied the wrong directory.

Look at the directory returned by the error handler:

/home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/html/yabbse/yabb

And then the directory you're using for your steps:

/var/www/html/yabbse/yabb

So that is why it can't find it...and yes it's common as people don't always know their full path, don't pay attention, or simply don't care - take your pick :)

So it seems like it can't find the path, also make sure to chmod the yabb directory 777 just in case.

Yeah, don't forget that on a unix server everything must be in the correct (upper/lower) case !  

Just typing Yabbse when it should be yabbse will give you an error.

I've just converted my YaBB Gold SP1 board to YaBB SE, and it went fine !  Just a few minor problems that I easily fixed through admin once the board was running  :)
