Ok I need a volunteer to tackle an advanced error reporting mod.
Right now, the maintenance pack will feature an error reporting feature that you can turn on and off. All it does is record errors, the ip of the person who caused the error, the username if logged in, and the url which caused it.
What we need
- ability to limit the error log by date (would delete errors older than X days)
- ability to limit the error log by # of entries
- ability to show the error log on multiple pages, as opposed to a single long page as it is now.
- ability to delete all error entries (a select-all button)
- ability to send admins an email when X error occur,
- ability to send admins an email when X errors occur from the same username
- ability to send admins an email when X errors occur from the same IP
- display some stats at the top of the error reporting page (i.e. errors today, user causing most errors, most common error etc.)
any takers? it'll require editing ModSettings.php (as I'm sure you'll have to add entries to the settings table), Errors.php and index.php (for the action additions).
