Adding graphics as category background

I have seen where some boards have graphics for the category strip backgrounds and would like to be able to do this on my board.  Is the URL for the image just placed in the balnk instead of the HTML color code?

IE: this http://boardmod.xnull.com/templates/preview.php?id=17

If you look at the default template of YaBB SE, you can see that there is an image integrated for the category background.
Take a look at the template's CSS-style-sheet and search for .catbg. There you can see how it is done.

Should look like this:

HTML does not support backgroundimages for tables, so you have to define it with CSS-style-sheets.

btw...You can use a background image for tables.

Background images for tables has been available since the 3.x browsers.

It's not easy to alter the table background though....just try only to alter the template.html...

When you try to place images behing things that are put there in the <yabb main> section, just use the CSS declaration.....
