News: SMF is the next generation in forum software, almost completely re-written from the ground up, make sure you don't fall for cheap imitations that suffer from feature bloat!

YaBB SE Version: 1.5.5
PHP Version: 4.3.4
MySQL Version: 4.0.x
Server Platform: Unix, Linux, or BSD
Link to Forum: http://forums.dawgclan.net

Problem Description:
Got a question eh. The YaBBSE news script is nice, I would like to use it as a portal.... However I would like to know how to do the following.
A) Hide a SubForum from being listed, but ensure it is viewable by all or they won't be able to see the news ;)
B) Make sure only moderators can post topics, but anyone can post replies/comments.
C) Set a maximum news topic listing. Say a variable where I can put 5 topics. This would list the 5 newest topics.. Not Going by replies Just the main topic post date.
Thanks

Well, I recommend you look into SMF as YaBB SE support is going to wind down significantly soon.
