Problem Description:
hi, i'm trying to run a login off the yabbse database for another part of my site, a members area, i.e. the yabbse database powers another app on my site. All is well apart from the md5 hashing! I've built the simple script below, which doesnt work, for some reason which i'm almost sure is the md5 conversion.

could someone help? someone must have run a form login off the yabbse ( or mod ) database in the past? thanks,

Please look at Load.php; simple md5 is NOT used.

well can i ask then, why when i look at the database via phpmyadmin is it encrypted?

and why in login/out.php is md5_hmac used?

i am using a mod version, but are you saying standrad yabbse allows you to see the password without no encryption?

Look at Load.php like [Unknown] advised and check out the function md5_hmac.  It doesn't use -simple- md5 encryption.  It does use md5 though.
