Missing message links viewing with NT4.0

Problem Description:
I have an odd problem.  At home I read the Agonist.org bulletin boards which are powered by yabbse.  But at work on my NT4 machine with latest IE, the message (topic) links within the individual boards do not appear.  The name of the poster, date, last person who replied all show up but there is nothing where the clickable text message topic titles should be.

Another almost-identical NT4.0 system here DOES get the message links.

Can you give me any clue what dll or setting I might be missing on my NT4.0 PC that would cause the message links to not appear?  Alternately, is there any way for me to debug this problem?

Message links?  What are you talking about?

If you mean the subject, those aren't links except in SMF.

For example, on this page....

on my WinNT machine at work, the clickable text "Open Thread", "Avian Influenza Vaccines", "Bird Flu + Cats",  etc. are all totally missing though the "Started By" names are present and clickable.

Do you use any firewall software, like Norton?

It works on my end.

I do not have a software firewall on that system but there is a Linux firewall between the whole LAN and the outside.  However - the other NT4 machine on the same LAN sees the message topic links correctly.

I think there is something missing or wrong version on my system and I was just hoping for clues on what special mechanism is used to bring up the topic links, what font is used, etc. so I can try to figure out what my NT is missing.

It's using Verdana, and it just uses a regular anchor.  Just like other links.

However, Norton Internet Security has been known to have trouble with the links because they have "threadid" in them, which has "adid" in it.
