Simplest way if it's your board and you've got phpMyAdmin access is to edit your memberGroup to 'Administrator' in the 'members' table.

Hi Peter, What do I do once i'm there? is there an area called members table? I went to phpMyAdmin I get this code when click on go and reads like this:

UPDATE `yabbse_membergroups` SET `membergroup` = 'Administrator ' WHERE `ID_GROUP` = '1' LIMIT 1 ;

assuming valen1 should be administrator, where should that go at? ??? thanks for your reply.

Step by step guide (no queries necessary):

1. Log in to phpMyAdmin.
2. Select your YaBB SE database.
3. Select 'members' table (*not* 'membergroups').
4. Click 'Browse' at top of main window menu.
5. Click the 'Edit' icon to the left of *your* row in the table.
6. Scroll down to the 'memberGroup' field (eighth from the top).
7. Type 'Administrator' in the RH 'Value' text area.
8. Scroll to bottom, make sure 'Save' is checked and click 'Go'!

Thank you Peter. I just set up yabbse on our site and the default "admin" login didn't work. You saved the day for me.
