Problem Description:
Trying to install a forum and I keep getting this error message after inserting the info:

Cannot connect to database server with given data!

Please check the information you provided, and then try again

I'm pretty positive that the infomation I'm putting in is correct but I keep getting that error message.... any help would be appreciated  I searched for this problem but didn't find anything.. if this is a repeat sorry!!

Make sure that the server is supposed to be localhost and not something else.  Occasionally the host will use something else for some reason.

Also, make sure the database you specified exists as sometimes it cannot create the database and then will get angry when the database does not already exist.

Ensure that the username you specified has permissons on that database.  Double check your password.
