Boards not working, upgrade didnt work, members file not working

YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version: 4.2.3
MySQL Version: 3.23.x
Server Platform: Windows
Link to Forum: http://www.starfighters.com/commscan

Problem Description:
At first my boards just didnt work at all. You go to the main page and it wouldnt load anything as if there were no index file.

I chose to do an upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.54 just to see if this would help. I get the following errors during the upgrade:

Error: MySQL said:

Duplicate column name 'ID_LAST_TOPIC'
Error: MySQL said:

Can't open file: 'commscan_members.MYD'. (errno: 145)

then a bunch of successful messages then:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /starfig/public_html/commscan/upgrade.php on line 115

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /starfig/public_html/commscan/upgrade.php on line 117

------

I click next

Everything seems to be succesful with:

Fixing Settings.php...
done.

I assume the install is complete.

Now I go to the board and the graphics are there except it now says

"Database Error

Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator."

I hav no admin features, nothing. Cant login nor register. I have no idea how to get the memberlist fixed...

Using phpMyAdmin, run a REPAIR, ANALYZE and OPTIMIZE on your forums database.  That SHOULD fix your problems for you.  :)

Do you have phpMyAdmin installed?

Also, do a search on Other Help for phpMyAdmin, someone was kind enough to post instructions on how to install/use phpMyAdmin.  :)

I have it installed on the server, though I think it was setup for another database from a few years ago.

Ive done a search and havent found that post you mentioned. Ill keep looking. All this programing stuff is fairly new to me, so its a bit complicated.

Is there perhaps any way to reinstall the board and keep all the settings and posts?

Ghent, if you'd like me to fix this for you, please IM me the details for your phpMyAdmin, database name and a way to get ahold of you via Instant Messaging (AIM, ICQ, MSN or YID).

Tried IMing you via MSN, you weren't on.  Let me know when you're available (I am super busy with paid client projects today).

Thanks for the offer. I was able to talk to a few friends, alter a bunch of settings, and get the admin thing to work. Did the repair and its now back to normal.

Thanks for the help.
