Okay, for those of you that don't know, I've switched my busiest site (15,000+ threads/148,000+ posts) from a paid portal system (Deluxe Portal) to YaBB SE.

First and foremost, I have to thank [Unknown] for being so patient and writing two different converters for me.  I also have to thank him and David for being so patient with me with some of the newbieish questions that I had.

The conversion of all threads, posts, over 130 avatars (I had to add that hack into the converter script that [Unknown] wrote) and over 1300 attached images that were stored in a database from Deluxe Portal to YaBB SE took less than 5 minutes for the entire process.  O.O  Talk about EXCELLENT work!

On Deluxe Portal, my server's load averages would start shooting up into the 1's when more than 20 people were on the forums at any given time.

Let me demonstrate:

JUST turned off Deluxe Portal - load averages: 0.19, 0.45, 0.41
In the middle of conversion - load averages: 0.04, 0.04, 0.09
After conversion, but unopened - load averages: 0.00, 0.04, 0.05
Opened and rippin' with business with 20 people on -
Load averages: 0.00, 0.04, 0.03

I AM IN HEAVEN!  OH MY GOD!  I AM IN TOTAL BLISSFUL HEAVEN!  I have NOT seen these load averages since before I even brought on Deluxe Portal as a forum system.

Devel team, even my members are noticing a VAST improvement over server speed, load averages and quickness of the forums.

Guys, if this doesn't convince you to get your butts off of whatever paid system you're using, then I sure the heck don't know WHAT will!  YSE ROCKS!

Yeah.... it is indeed confusing.  Like I've told other people... if you REALLY want to send me money, look for my amazon wishlist (I posted it once upon a time...) or just donate to YaBB SE.
