I have created an offline reader project at sourceforge, you can get it at http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/offline

Currently it features download of gzips and uploading of .txt files, and a list of all uploaded messages gets displayed after upload. I will program an admin feature for managing uploaded messages, which also can be span mail of course. However, I hope you like it.
Let me know if you have a successfull install so I can take it out of beta.

This mod comes with manual, gifs and phps as well a .mod for which you need Boardmod from boardmod.org !
Please tell me what you think about it.

I will update the offline reader mod next week because there are some bugs. It will then contain the feature to display all uploaded messages to the admin, and the admin will be able to delete messages uploaded by other users. Besides that, the upload function doesn't really work because the script doesn't pay attention to existing threads, all messages just get added as new threads to the board.
Until next week...

Hello...

The new ß version is out. Download it as
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/offline/offline09.zip?download
at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/offline

Have fun! I will now start programming an offline reader ;-)

If you try this out, please tell me if installing and running the script works, so I can take it out of beta. I also need somebody who can describe how Offline.php can get called from normal Yabbse because I use a menu center mod and don't know about the normal way to include mods, which means how buttons with the menu function "offline reader" normally get added.

Hey datarunner... Send me an IM and I can explain it to you... It's not hard to do at all... I will try to test this out on my Lycos board, and assuming they haven't disabled some function this thing needs, I will let you know how it works.
