can't delete post

I need to delete a post and I get this error:

Can't open file: 'yabbse_polls.MYI'. (error: 145)

that line says:

I'm guessing the query would too be:

Code Select Expand

REPAIR TABLE yabbse_polls;

would this be correct?

also, if there's nothing wrong with a table, would it do it any harm to run that query?

another question:  in the forum's index, there's two forums that don't show the last post data, instead it says "N/A"... why is this?
