Notifications for a new post to board

Can I set up a board to notify the moderators whenever a new topic is posted or any reply is posted to any topic in that board?

Sort of like a global board notification to the moderator of any activity, email them so they know to look.

This is the result of someone always trying to find something wrong with us using YaBB SE. I say they are the moderator and should just check the board, they want email notification every time.

This isn't a current feature, but you can post in the mod ideas board and see if someone will make this for you.

Global notification settings mod

It would be cool to see a mod that would allow you to get notifications of any board if you are the moderator or even just interested.
So any new topic or any reply, you would get an email notification. Also it would obviously be great if you could choose just new topics or just replies, etc.

a current moderator of my board asked me for this
