How can we make more space between the menu box that says Hey User, You Have Such and Such messages and the forums?

No, <br /> - it's an empty tag.

<br /> stands for break.  That is, it's like pressing enter.

Add it just before what you want to be higher.

ok, I can't find where the code is for the menu bar. What is the menu bar coded as in index.php?

Ok I found it, and used the <br /> tags before and after the menu code, and nothing happened.

Wait, I used it and it made me Menu bar stretch out, only it didn't make the pic and letter spread out, it put some green bar on the top of it.
