Someone on my board tried using the img script with http://img.fark.com/images/2001/topics/newsflash.gif

like but it wont show it.. i think because it doesn't have www. but i have no idea...

It looks to me like that user has hot link protection on that site.

Is the person that posted the image the owner of the site? If he is tell him to add your site the the allowed list for sites that can use images, if he isn't then he shouldn't be posting the image in the first place because chances are he doesn't have permission to link to it. :P

I am the owner of the message board.. i think it is a site for more smiley faces for boards and such like badassbuddy is for aim icons

Are you the owner of the site that the image is on? If so then add the board to the allowed urls for hotlinking.

If you don't own the site, then there is nothing you can do, this is not a problem with YaBBSE, it is the owner of the site the image is on, he/she disabled people from hotlinking images, other wise it would cost him/her money because that wastes their bandwidth.

If it is an image site like you say, chances are you are supposed to download the images then upload them to your own host, not link to them.
