I have installed 2 forums and I have very strange problem. On one of them ssi_examples.shtml doesn't work. Even I tryed to copy these two files: SSI.php and ssi_examples.shtml from working board, but it doesn't help.

Any ideas?

Some hosts don't have SSI configured properly.  My own local server doesn't even have it configured!

I would simply use PHP.  You can *pretty much* just name a .html file .php and not worry about it...

The problem is that both of them are running on the same host. And of course .shtml extenssion is configured properly, because other directive works just fine. Are any other files (exept SSI.php and ssi_examples.shtml) involved in this?

Well, okay... here's what you should do.

First, make sure you edited SSI.php and set up the paths.  You'll need to *at least* set the $full_yabbse_path variable.

Second, check the settings with the full URL to SSI.php:
http://www.blah.com/yabbse/SSI.php?function=welcome

If that works, try the SSI via your shtml page...

http://www.blah.com/test.shtml

Which should contain code that includes the same URL.  (http://www.blah.com/yabbse/SSI.php?function=welcome)

This will *probably* work if SSI works.

Yes the full yabbse path name must be set (absolute path name is required as soon as the SSI is called outside the board directory). Relative path names such as './yabbse' do not work.
