error msg...

I recently took over the admin duties on our site -->

and I know very little about the workings of yabb.  HTML is a bit familiar to me, but again, no expert.

My problem - I log in as admin and want to change the html language - just change one small name to another - nothing major.  I just hilite the portion to be changed between the >here<'s, and hit the save button.  An error message appears, telling me this:
2: fopen(/www/poemsplace/forum/template.php) [function.fopen]: failed to create stream: Permission denied
(/home2/www/poemsplace/forum/Sources/Admin.php ln 991)

What's happening?  I'm signed in, am the admin, but permission is denied.  Any help appreciated, I'm really green here.

chmod template.php to 666.

chmod 666 template.php

(temporarily, afterwards change it back). Alternatively ftp template.php to your pc, change it and upload it back to the server.
