sorry if this has been addressed.. but I can't seem to find it .. I'm looking to put news into the main page of my website (http://www.sweepthis.com). most of the instructions I've found to add a news feed have been for php pages.. what exactly needs to be done to include content from an announcment board from YSE? thanks in advance and sorry if this is a repeat post(I did do some searching)....

use something like:
<?php include "http://www.sweepthis.com/yabb/index.php?board=2;action=news"?>
read the news readme.txt file for details, and your site main page has to be in .php

I got this when I tried it..
You can not display a board that is in a category with MemberGroups or the board ID does not exist. Please check the board number before trying again.
checked the number.. seems to be correct..

here's another quick question about this. I use frontpage to do my editing, but when you save a file in php format it doesn't update the links in the left hand side properly because the format has to be html. I just read something about using an asp extension to parse the php code so you can still use frontpage to do the editing.. is this feasable? if so, how would one go about putting php within asp? thanks!

you can just rename your page to .php
u can still edit it in frontpage too, just dont remove the php tags
u dont need to parse it using asp

Quoteit doesn't update the links in the left hand side properly
you can try editing the links manually

alright.. I did that seems to be working ok.. also, is it common if you edit a php in frontpage then save it via frontpage included content tends to disappear?

EDIT : would I be able to use SSI to port it in there instead of renaming my index.html to index.php?

hmm.. ok.. now I hear you can change the file name to shtml and port it via <!--#include virtual="/yabb/index.php?action=news;board=2"; --> but when I try this, I get 404 error.. any ideas?
