hi all,

i've been using this board for the past 6 hours now. i must say that i am VERY impressed! it has some very interesting features!

one thing that bothers me though. how can i restrict a new registered user until i can confirm there email address? i just don't feel comfortable with the new user able to log in right after they register. i've checked all the links in the admin page with no luck. i don't know if i've missed something or what.

cheers!

If you select the option so the user cannot choose a password on signup one is generated and e-mailed to the address they provided.  This will confirm the address.

thanks for the reply Dave.

would that be the same thing as "Email Random Password to New Member Upon Registration?" which is in the 'Forum Preferences and Settings' section?

another one is everytime i trply to a thread, do i have to tick on the 'Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic.' before i post the message?

Not if u dont wish to be notified (through IM or email)
Use it only for important topics that u'd like to keep track
