It's your favorite PITA coming back in to annoy David and [Unknown] (lol).

I actually want to disable guest viewing of the forums, but not restrict it from member viewing.  Without having to add in specific categories and usergroups, how can I disable guest viewing?

It's on Forum Preferences and Settings.

Just hit Ctrl and F, and then type "guest".  It'll be the first option you see.

Okay, and my SECOND question, can I disable people registering?  I'm actually going to be using a custom system to register accounts (this is going to be a customer support site).

Sorry to be such a PITA.  Trust me when I say that I'm still impressed with this and look forward to heavily referring YaBB to a band's/Duet's site that I will be taking over.  :)

I custom wrote this for our forums two days ago.  Basically added a setting to the installed mods page and thus the $modsettings array.  If it was set to 1, disable new registrations, then fatal_error() is called from the register page.  If you want to permently disable it just add fatal_error('Message here'); to the top of regitser.php.
