How do I get rid of the Info Center? It slows down the loading time and is somewhat excessive for my site.

If you really want to take it out completely, you can comment out a big chunk of code from BoardIndex.php (basically everything between the opening and closing <form> tags, but note that this will also knock out the VB-style login, which forms part of the Info Center).
