Secure Login

I think it would be great to be able to allow members to login using an SSL ... assuming that the domain housing the particular YaBB board has one available.

In my case, I do have a secure server available. A nice little mod to redirect members to a secure login would be great ... even if it were optional.

How hard would that be?

if their password's need to be encrypted to that level, you should really reconsider putting your board online.  The passwords are already encrypted so you can only get it by the first time they have entered it. through a packet sniffer.  YSE is already very secure so I hope you don't really need this.

Oh ... I know I don't need it ... but for those who don't know, it would make them feel safer. This is mainly due to how other sites use their SSL. Since I already use one for on-line purchases and such, I just thought it would be nice to incorporate the same. I would give added security during registration, etc.

Just a thought.

Would also like to point out that the Admin, or an Admin who has complete access to MySQL / phpMyAdmin, could probably get anybody's password if they cared enough. Most boards that I know of, the admins are nice people, and don't give the error a second glance.
