Very impressed with everything but would be more so if someone could tell me how to get the birthdays OFF the calendar in the new version 1.4? Also, I'd like guests to be able to see it too but no options for either in the admin section.

Is there a way round this or is it a mod that needs to be written??

Goto you admin page and look under "Installed Mod Settings and Options"...  The calander settings are in there.   :)

I've looked through the options in admin settings already but can't see a way that guests can view the calendar (I DON'T want them posting on it) nor can I see a way to get the birthdays off the calendar. Maybe I'm a bit slow but if they are there, could you tell me which options?? Thanks

Look in the Installed Mods are and where it says "Groups Allowed to Post", put your group names in there.  I think that will make it so guest are not allowed to post.  Give it a try it.

As for the Birthdays, after a closer look, it appears you can not turn them off from the admin center.  Maybe a mod could be made, or you could go hack up your calander.php file to get rid of it.   :o

Originally I had the Calendar image at the end of the bar, after the "logout" image. Somebody moved it so that it came before the "logout" but they added it in some non-guest code -- so only members are seeing the button.

If you search for "// Calendar" in Subs.php you can move the 3 lines starting with that comment outside of that statement block. Put the lines above the if($enable_news=='1') { line. That will make the image appear after the "logout" and members and guests both will see it.

For disabling birthdays, if you go into Calendar.php find this line: $bday = CalendarCreateBirthdayArray($monthp1,$year); and just comment it out by putting // at the front of the line.

Those are in the calendar_holiday table. If you don't want any of them to show up just delete all the rows in the calendar_holiday table, or just remove the ones you don't want.
