Suggestions for lowering bandwidth consumption.

Are there any good ways to lower the amount of bandwidth consumed by a YaBBSE board?

My board is new and has very little traffic at the moment but it should pick up in a month or so as it is started to be used for the reason it exists in the first place.

And when this happens I am looking at hefty fees for extra bandwidth usage.

I recall reading something somewhere about an improved boardindex.php ebing worked on that should decrease server load, but is there anything that can be siggested in the meantime?

YaBBSE already has pretty low bandwidth consumption 'Out of the Box'

To reduce bandwidth more:

Turn off use of buttons (Forum Preferences and Settings)
Turn on Compresed output (Installed 'Mods' Settings and Options)
Turn off Output caching (Installed 'Mods' Settings and Options)

and keep a clean template. try for no extra images no background image, etc.
