Weird SSI Problems

This is the homepage of a site trying to use ssi.php.  You can see it here, http://www.soccerfantalk.com/ss.php.  When the include is removed the page looks perfect except for the ssi parts.  I tried include, require, as well as include_once.  I also tried putting the ssi code itself inside the file.  Any ideas?
