Installing on a local server problem

Im having a problem installing 1.4 on my local machine.   I have a fat pipe so I am planning on hosting the site myself.
I have installed IIS on WinXP, plus the latest PHP and MySql all without a hitch.

With Yabb I have created a directory inside wwwroot called YabbSE and have all the files and folders the yabb zip file created in there.  When I type http:\\localhost\yabbse\install.php i get the following:

If i try to copy install.php and the .ya file into the yabbse directory i get:

This program will install YaBB SE if you have PHP running in safe mode on your webserver

Plus the Start button which does nothing.  
I saw the post on changing the php.ini file to modify the error reporting line but other than that this is a virgin install.  
Any have an idea?

this is another case of register globals set to off - i think?!?

you need to change register globals to 'on' in your php.ini

it will be the other  php.ini on your machine - not the one in your php directory.

The register globals bug has been fixed so I doubt that is the problem.  I am not that fimiliar with install problems but someone who is should be around soon.

hmmm... makes me wonder if the globals problem has been fixed in 1.4?
