Windows 2K and YabbSE

Hey folks,

I already run YabbSE on a Linux box, great product BTW.

Question: Will YabbSE run in a Windows 2000 Server enviroment?  If so, what else would be needed to complete the installation.  I'm thinking of switching from Linux to Windows, flame suit on....

The Win box would have Microsoft SQL and not mySQL, is this going to be a problem? PHP will also be installed on the windows box.

Thanks in Advance!

YaBBSe will run on a windows server... as long as PHP and mySQL are installed...

so you have a problem, if its your own box you can install mySQL easly.

mySQL goes on nicely to a Windows box (I have that set up at both home and my work computer).

The only problem I ever had was having to manually configure my php.ini file to match new directories for the include path.

Thx for the replies!

This is what I was afraid of, my ISP (cihost) only has Microsoft SQL installed on the Windows Boxes.  I'm currently on Linux with them, and YabbSE runs just fine.

Anyone know of a good reasonable ISP that can handle this chore on a WIn Box?

Thx in advance!
