Make sure you arn't mssing a quote on around line 133 in Settings.php

This is the exact problem that I had, and here is what you have to do:

Delete your installation.

Create the directory that you want to have YaBBSE in and CHMOD it to 777.

Upload the installation files into this directory.

Run install.php

When asked into which directory you would like the board to be installed into enter "." (without quotation marks)

Once installation is done change the CHMOD on the forum's folder to anything but 777. (I use 755)
