Would anyone see the nice in this? Whnever someone makes a new post on the board an IRC channel would be notified of it...

I hope you mean notificion as in email notification eg only what you have subscribed to. Otherwhise it will very quickly fill up the irc channel and get the bot or whatever controls the script booted off the network

Yeah.. it should be limited strictly to individual users who have marked that thread for notification. If done in such a manner, though, boards or sites with IRC integrated would have a great way to make their boards a bit more dynamic.

and then have the ability to have the bot post back to the board for you :)
