Hi,

How to solve this problem on a Portland server:

'Cannot use database yabbsedata, connection to server succeeded by the way.'

I've specified yabbsedata as the MySQL Database name.

I get the exact same error message. Then youcan't continue.

Are you also using Portland, I mean.. is Portland (AGAIN!) the error this time??

Did you check your password ? Leave the field with the "prefix" (_yabbse) blank. Try it, the only idea I have.

I just need a free host, ad free that is able to run YaBB. Anyone?

I've noticed a slow server syndrome with them, but they have php, mysql, and nooo banners, but one bg popup

Pop-ups are not under the 'ad-free' category.

Ad free is no banners and no popups. Portland does it this way, digitalrice.com too, but they don't allow any new members at the moment.

Any other suggestions?  :) (The CGI or PHP Board doesn't matter!)
