Sorry, you are right, the Who's Online is restricted to Gmods only.

Here's a section of the Who's Online screen.

Viewing the main index of Main Forum.

Sending an IM.
Viewing their IM inbox.

Each of the entries where is states "Main Forum" are actually for members that we know are actually in a thread. When clicking the words "Main Forum" with the mouse it takes me straight to the main forum index.php page instead of the thread that the member is looking at.
When I hover the mouse over the link it shows only as the url for the main index page, but when I do the same for any of the other entries it shows the "action" in the link url


Cloud 9 and 5th Dimension are both forum boards, so that part seems to work perfectly because the url for them is showing as yabbse/index.php?board=15 so I am assuming that the portion of the code must be correct.

As a thought, I have the mod re-write in place that diverts traffic from

yabbse/index.php?thread=12345

to

yabbse/index.php/t12345.php

Could it be that the mod rewrite is actually messing up the code that you gave me previously ?

If you think that's the problem then I won't trouble you about it, I am planning only using the rewrite only as a temporary divert. Once Google etc have re-indexed the threads with the new Smart URL i will be able to chop out the rewrite.

Does that make any sense or am I rambling again ?

why don't you try Who's Online without the re-write and see if it works properly? index.php/t123

and why perfer index.php?thread=123 for indexing and rewrite that to index.php/t123.php?

But please don't bust yourself up over it.
The bottom line is that if we have to lose "who's online" for the sake of having Smart URL then that's the way it shall be.
Smart URL has now given us over 4,000 pages on Google alone It's a winner Mod

hmm... I find it strange that the urls to boards are index.php?board=1 instead of index.php/b1... did you change something?

try removing this from the condition in the code I gave you
$modSettings['sUrl_format'] == 'pathinfo' if you chose another url format, although I believe it's that one cause the thread urls are changed to that (index.php/t123)

I have had a go at it and deleted the section you mentioned but it still doesn't seem to want to behave.

I see what you mean about the board urls

I think I might try re-installing it again very carefully and see if I can pick up on anything different that way

i have try to install the mod and it doesn't work
i don't understand
i have make the manual installation and i have always some errors
and when i make the installation with the yabbpack center it doesn't work too
the yabbpack say me the installation is complete and i see no change on my administration board
is anyone have idea ?

This is working great.  My main site has about 500 pages cached in google.  I'm going to go through and fix the urls for a lot of other areas of the site later on, which should give me better results.

And my personal site has almost the entire thing indexed.
