YaBB SE Version: 1.5.5

Problem Description:
I have put the install.php and yse55.ya files onto my Lycos site.  When I go to the site in MS IE and click the link install.php it asks for a Path and Folder.  What do I put in this box?   If I leave it blank the I get a whole load of messages about what it cant do.  Please some one help me. ???

So how far are you getting with the install?

The first screen of install.php asks you for your MySQL user information (which only your host can tell you), not for 'a Path and Folder'. Or are you already onto the next screen?

my Lycos site

Pity I missed that last night, but it was so obvious when I saw the screenshot from your email...

So the first thing you should do is to forget the regular installer and try the safe mode package instead!
