YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version: 4.3.2
MySQL Version: 3.23.x
Server Platform: Unix, Linux, or BSD
Link to Forum: http://members.lycos.co.uk/blindrefweb/yabbse/index.php

Problem Description:
Hi all, last night I set up a yabbse forum on my site, It's hosted at Lycos UK, and I was quite pleased, though, more surprised, when everything worked first time...well, almost :P

I read a lot of stuff on these boards before setting out, so I have did my best, but I do have an issue with regards to uploading images, when i attempt to insert an image in a post, i get the following message:

2: chmod, chgrp, realpath, tmpfile, link, mb_send_mail() has been disabled for security reasons
(/data/members/free/tripod/uk/b/l/i/mysitename/htdocs/yabbse/Sources/Post.php ln 915)"

I know all to well about Lycos and their (free account) limitations, especially with SQL and PhP safe mode operation. So, I am thinking that my problem perhaps stems from this situation? I don't know, but, although not essential, it would be nice for visitors to upload their own pics, avatars etc...

any help on this matter would be gratefuly appreciated...

Have a look at post.php and comment out the lines that refer to chmod and it will work fine.

I did what you suggested, and thats got it sorted...many thanks!

I do have another problem...it happened before i changed the file you mentioned, so it's nothing to do with anything i have done... But there are no email being sent whenever such a task is called for, the page says the email has been sent and everything, the mail just doesnt arrive...I dont get it as all was perfect last night....

I am using the"sendmail"option, and had been, when all worked fine, so i am wondering what on earth could have went wrong?? My Lycos account's email works fine, Is there anything that I can do before quitting and resorting to a clean re-install of my board??

many thanks..
