A feature for your members to rate other members, you can enable it in installed mods settings and options.

I've noticed on this board that the applaud and smite options sometimes don't appear until I've replied to the topic, once I have replied and am viewing it, the options show up... until I go somewhere else, then they dissappear again.

Kind of weird.

Yeah, we're talking about here.  I believe it has something to do with the urls.  I had the same problem on a different board when I modified the urls to be 'search engine friendly.'  When people viewed the topic with that url, they had no options to modify karma.  If they went to the topic through SSI, which gave the old url still, then they did have the options.
