I moved my forums - cannot edit preferences/settings

YaBB SE Version: 1.4.0 or 1.4.1
PHP Version:
MySQL Version: 3.23.x
Server Platform:

Problem Description:
I moved my forums to a new host and now, when I attempt to make chnages in the Preferences/Settings menu, I get the following error:

2: fopen("/home/virtual/site38/fst/home/tgi/public_html/yabbse/Settings.php", "w") - Permission denied
(/home/virtual/site38/fst/home/tgi/public_html/yabbse/Sources/Admin.php ln 1437)

Did I just miss updating something after the move?

Also, the boards have been slowing down A LOT lately - getting many complaints.  I've Repaired and Optimized all the tables - doesn't seem to work.  Any thoughts?

Hmmm... CHMODs seem to be fine.  And now I'm getting the same thing on the new boards I just installed.  Any ideas?  :(

You're going to want Settings.php writable.  This means a chmod such as 777.

Permission denied means it can't open it for writing.

Also, are you on Windows?  If so you have to use NTFS ACLs (modified with cacls if you have telnet...) to change the access permissions.

Well, double-checked the CHMOD on Settings.php - no problems there.  Must be the second thing, however, I have no idea what you mean, lol.    ;)

Do you mean am I personally using Windows or is the server a Windows based server?

Nope - it's a Unix based server (I believe).

Funny thing is, now it's happening to other admins on the board, however it wasn't doing it to them last night.  If I didn't have such a nasty headache I could probably figure this out eventually...  *sigh*
