Problem Description:
How can I move my current forum database to my new host?
I have access directly to everything on my current board, but for the new host I do not have direct access to the actual dabase files, only phpmyadmin interface.
thanks,

Ed

Install the forum, which will create a new DB from the .sql file, select this with phpMyAdmin and import your dump through the SQL menu!

Right, thanks, but I've never done this before, so I'm not sure about a few things.
The dump just comes out in the browser so I just save it as an sql file?
Also, in the dump there are a few lines like:
QuoteNotice: Undefined variable: QUERY_STRING in D:\www\tbboard\QueryString.php on line 27
Do I just remove those and then just take the dump and name it *.sql and upload it via the sql tab in phpmyadmin?
thanks

I'm using the Dump feature in YaBBSE

I am very close now, I keep manually editing pieces of it. I should probably have it successfully moved over today some time.

I saved the dump file as *.sql and am editing it in Textpad.

Look like I finally have it all moved over without a hitch at the new host  ;D ;D ;D

Took some manual editing of dump sql file, but not too bad.

Thanks again for a great product, looking forward to the release of SMF!
